In its first months of research, the AEON Consortium has carried out a state of the art on advanced engine-off technologies applied in the project, together with an analysis of the SESAR JU projects focusing on improvements of airport capacity able to meet high safety standards.
During the work, the Consortium was focusing on the state of the art on collaborative Human-Machine Interaction systems and on the state of the art on multi-agent systems and operational research for fleet management. Then, on the other hand, the AEON project studied 46 projects in the airport ground operations area with the twofold purpose of avoiding duplications while discovering and exploiting synergies and opportunities for collaboration.
The activities carried out so far aimed at providing a solid base to start developing the very initial concept of operations on advanced engine-off navigation technologies, expected in October 2021. Meanwhile, the Consortium is preparing a newsletter to inform all the stakeholders about the results achieved during the first 8 months of research.
