The last 4th of November 2020 has officially started AEON. A project funded by the SESAR Joint Undertaking (SJU) to identify advanced engine-off navigation operations. The Consortium guided by ENAC and composed by TU Delft and Deep Blue focus on engine-off taxiing techniques to find an innovative concept of ground operations. At the end of the project, the Consortium will deliver a set of dedicated tools to support collaborative decision making in airport operations.
The pandemic caused by the spread of the virus SARS-Covid-19 has forced the meeting to be held virtually. Despite the limitations, the AEON kick-off meeting has seen a large number of participants.
The meeting began with an overview of the project activities provided by Mathieu Cousy, the AEON project coordinator. During the first part of the meeting, the Consortium gave a careful presentation of AEON scope, objectives and work schedule. Then, the SJU took the floor to present its suggestions and expectations about the project future activities.
AEON kick-off meeting ended after three hours of fruitful discussion between AEON and SJU members. A nice start in prevision of the tight schedule that attends the Consortium.
